CFO Meets with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK)

As a kick-off to the official mission of Secretary Dante ‘Klink’ Ang II, the CFO met with the top officials of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). The ADEK is the equivalent of the Philippine Department of Education in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The CFO was welcomed by the officials of the Office of the Chairman, His Excellency Mohamed Taj Eddine Ahmed Alqadi. He was joined by Mr. Jhonathan Cadavido, ADEK Assessment Senior Specialist and Filipino Representative for Asian Curriculum. The ADEK officials appreciate the courtesy visit, as this is the first time a top official from the Philippine government has come to their office.

Secretary Ang introduced the CFO and its functions, especially its role in overseeing the operations of Philippine Schools Overseas (PSO). ADEK expressed its strong support for the PSO, and encourages the establishment of more PSOs in Abu Dhabi. The CFO may also extend its support to a school that received a weak rating. They also require the PSOs to secure a license from the host country.

The meeting concluded with ADEK’s strong expression of support for all the Philippine schools within its jurisdiction, and expressed its assistance for the matters that require its intervention.
