Advocating financial literacy among overseas Filipino youth further developed through CFO, PSE, COL Financial plans on stock trading game for PSO students
11 September 2025—The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), led by Secretary Dante “Klink” Ang II, met with the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) and COL Financial to discuss a proposed ‘stock trading game’ initiative for Philippine Schools Overseas (PSO) students.
Matters of discussion focused on empowering overseas Filipino (OF) youth in PSOs through financial literacy via the gamification of stock trading. Alongside is the possibility of conducting a tournament among PSO students from 11 countries and an annual PSO Young Investors’ Summit, the latter being a potential collaboration of the CFO’s programs, namely PSO, Peso Sense, and YouLead. The proposed stock trading game is set to fit the need of OF youth in becoming advocates of financial literacy in the diaspora and potential practitioners in the field of finance.
The meeting concluded with the delegation of tasks between the CFO, PSE, and COL Financial regarding further customization of the game, tournament, and other related matters in its preparation and imminent implementation in 2026.
