CFO Conducts Third Leg of Webinar Introducing Stock Trading Game Initiative for PSO Students
Pasay City — In preparation for the pilot implementation of its Stock Trading Game Tournament in 2026, the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) successfully conducted the third and final leg of its introductory webinar on the Stock Trading Game for Philippine Schools Overseas (PSO) students on 17 December 2025, via Zoom.
The webinar formally opened with a message from CFO Secretary Dante “Klink” Ang II who highlighted the importance of valuing every dollar earned and using financial resources wisely, stressing that sound financial literacy contributes to economic diaspora engagement and supports national development. He also reminded PSOs to ensure the timely registration of their student participants in preparation for the upcoming tournament.
The webinar featured a walkthrough and tutorial of the PSE Academy Stock Trading Game facilitated by Ms. Angelique Perez of the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) through its PSE EQuIP program. The session provided participants with an in-depth overview of the platform, game mechanics, and learning objectives designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of stock market investing.
This was followed by a lecture on stock trading techniques and best practices delivered by Mr. Raphael Antonio Bustamante, Wealth Trainer from COL Financial, who shared practical insights on responsible investing, risk management, and informed decision-making in stock trading.
An interactive question-and-answer segment allowed participants to raise queries on of the Stock Trading Game initiative, as well as various technical aspects related to the pilot implementation of the Stock Trading Game Tournament among PSOs in 2026.
The webinar concluded with a closing message from CFO Project Management Division Chief Marita del Rosario-Apattad, who expressed gratitude to the Philippine Stock Exchange and COL Financial for their continued partnership and support. She reiterated CFO’s commitment to advancing its core economic engagement programs and conveyed the Commission’s anticipation for the successful launch of the Stock Trading Game Tournament for PSO students.
